Sudak
Crimea, Ukraine, August 2007

In August 2007 I visited Sudak, a popular vacation destination in the Black Sea, in the company of friends that I had met in my travels to countries in the former Soviet block. What I found there was an interesting combination of Russian culture, unique cuisine, beautiful beaches, gorgeous women, not very attractive men, trash, great dancing, old funky cars, dirt roads, and warm people. Not a place I would visit again or recommend, but not the less a most interesting experience.
