Photographing In Search of Blue Granite

As usual, the photos in these stories were taken with Yashica T4 Super cameras. The images in "Turkey Weekend at Smuggler's Notch" were taken using Kodak Gold 100 film; all other pictures were taken using Kodak E100SW film. All images were taken by me with the exception of those noted at the bottom of the figure labels. Some pictures in the "Adirondack International Mountainfest '98" and the "5^th Annual Mount Washington Ice Festival" stories were shot by Gary Dunn; one image in the "The North Face of Gothics" story was shot by Scott Kinkele.

E6 processing was provided by Rieger Communications, while C41 processing was done by Kodalux. PhotoCD services were provided by ADI. The conversion from PCD to JPG format was done using ImageMagick 3.8.7. In all cases, the pictures were processed using the -sharpen 50 filter to remove the PhotoCD haze in the PCD files. Some images were adjusted (i.e., contrast, brightness, saturation, and hue) to look as close to the original slide as possible when viewed in a SGI monitor.
